A Happy New Year to All….
After months away from actively wrestling, I had a pair of matches last weekend, in a round-robin style get together with my most frequent opponent, Aakingman, and a new one, wrestlerdude31. We got together relatively early on Saturday morning, and I think we each got three rounds against each of the others. The action was fast-paced and fun. Aakingman was intense as always, but not fully on his game, going 0-6 for the day; still, he gave his all in every round and made us work for every tap-out. Wrestlerdude proved to be a very tough opponent, and fun to wrestle – talkative, competitive and cocky-with-a-wink. And he won the day, losing just one round, to me. And I was glad for that one round! Dude is great with his legs. If he adds more knowledge/training to his strength and existing skill, he’d be very formidable. Dude also was a great host, and his pup is very sweet.
I’ve also been re-energized in maintaining my various online outlets for my wrestling obsession. My FB page dedicated to Sexy Wrestling Domination has recently blown past the following and activity level of its predecessor page, which I lost in late 2015. Tumblr’s adoption of more stringent community guidelines meant a bit of cleanup (mostly of re-blogs where the original post was flagged) for my blogs there – Wrestling Domination and WrestlersAreSexy – and both have new content as well. And of course, my Youtube channel continues to grow its playlists with ever more videos of wrestling domination from Indy rings and college mats.
Most exciting to me is that I’ve been writing wrestling fiction again. Maybe it’s the fact that wrestling season is in full swing; maybe it’s the cold days making me fantasize about hot action. I’m not questioning the resurgent inspiration, just channeling it – into three new stories so far over the last two months. Since I am writing again, I have also re-opened my Patreon as the place where I will publish most stories, and am pleased and proud to have gained two new Patrons already so far this year. I’m also happy that my writing is evolving, with stories making use of more overt sensuality and delving into the psyches of wrestlers who get off on either handing out or taking one-sided abuse.
Coming back to me personally, I’ve also set myself some serious goals to help me get my workouts back on track, after months of just maintaining and then actually putting about 10 pounds back on over the holidays. I’m already back down to my new normal range (175-180), but will be focused through the winter on the first set of three goals, due by my birthday in May. In addition to a couple of specific weight lifting targets, I expect to raise my standard set for crunches from ~40 to 50+ (I usually do 5 sets per workout). For later in the year, I have goals aligned with picking running back up and other things I can achieve outdoors, since I know I’ll feel the call to escape the gym once it gets nicer again. Among these is achieving an 8-minute mile by 2020 (can currently wreck myself to get a 9.5 minute mile).
I def want to thank Aakingman and Wrestledude for the recent matches. I had been waffling on whether/how much to focus on sub wrestling again. Sparring with them reminded me of what a great time it is, what a great workout it can be… and how much of a motivator having upcoming matches is for other workouts! Along with the progress on other fronts, this has me feeling very hopeful for a wrestling-filled 2019!
Lastly, I still wrestle with the Philadelphia Spartans – and we’ve got a practice this Sunday at 2pm. Check the event page for Spartans Wrestling Practice (hopefully approved today) or get in touch with me by email for further details. If you’re free and in the area, hope to see you there!
Cheers, dudes! Wrestle on!
